God-centered Community

You will not meet a more faithful or welcoming group of people. St. Paul's cares for its members, the community, and the world in response to God's love for us.

If you're new to church, we'll help you through the service. If you need to sit in the back and pray quietly, we will respect your needs. If you're longing for community and need an instant family, you've got it.
Be prepared to laugh!

Rich History

Founded as a mission in 1887  by the Rev. Francis Johnstone Murdoch, St. Paul's has deep history in the city of Salisbury and in the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina.

The church was consecrated in 1912 by Bishop Joseph Blount Cheshire as 'St. Paul's Church, Chestnut Hill', designating the neighborhood where it stands, near the historic Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

Our history continues to this day. We've recently baptized Francis Murdoch's great-great-great grandchildren at St. Paul's!

True Hospitality

After church, come have lunch!
St. Paul's loves to gather for coffee and home-cooked food after worship, and we celebrate lots of special events.

You never know when there might be homemade peach cobbler!

No matter what we have, we share with our neighbors.

Blessing of the animals

Christmas party fun!
